Ulhasnagar: 20-year-old with seven cases stabbed to death over old rivalry, five arrested | Thane News – Times of India

ULHASNAGAR: A 20-year- old man was killed by five people over an old dispute in Ulhasnagar on Friday afternoon.
The victim has been identified as Sushant Gaikwad alias Guddu alias Ravan, and has seven cases registered against him, said police addressing media.
The arrested main accused Akash Shinde alias Chintya (26) is also a record criminal and he is involved in nine cases.
Police sub-inspector Harshal Rajput said that earlier both were friends and they together are accused in three cases.
The accused persons stabbed Gaikwad near Netaji chowk with a knife and fled away from the spot, said police.
Later, locals spotted injured Gaikwad and informed local Hill Line police who rushed him to Central hospital. However, he succumbed to injuries during treatment.
Meanwhile, within hours of the incident, police managed to solve the case by arresting five accused.
A police officer from Hill Line police said, “We have cracked the case and arrested all five accused involved in killing over an old rivalry.
Earlier, Gaikwad was residing in Ulhasnagar and last month, he had shifted to Badlapur.
