Thane: Two friends including minor arrested for killing 14-year-old boy | Thane News – Times of India

THANE: In a shocking incident, two friends including a minor boy (17) has been arrested for brutally killing a 14-year-old boy as they robbed the victim’s one and half tola gold chain in Bhiwandi taluka of Thane district.
The accused while playing took the 14-year-old into an empty flat in the same apartment where the victim was residing. The accused duo strangulated the victim boy to death with a rope and fled away with his gold chain.
The accused has been identified as Akshay Waghmare (24) and another minor boy aged 17, the police said.
The cops further added that the deceased (identified as Soham Bajage) was studying in the ninth standard and was residing in Sai Ram society in Bapgaon area in Bhiwandi taluka.
Police said that the victim had gone missing on Wednesday evening. Padgha Police probing the case said that when the minor did not return home, his father Eknath approached the police and filed a missing complaint.
Looking at the seriousness of the case, police launched a search and Soham’s body was found from the same building’s first floor-based flat which was lying vacant.
The police immediately registered a murder case and began a probe into the case. A three-team member was formed.
During the probe, police questioned those who last met the victim and identified two accused who upon enquiry was giving different versions but when questioned they confessed to killing Soham.
