Thane: Police officers find cell phone, electric circuit board inside Adharwadi district jail | Thane News – Times of India

THANE: A cell phone along with a bundle of wires, adhesives and an electric circuit board was spotted in the Adharwadi district jail, the police informed.
According to the Khadakpada police that registered a case in the incident which was reported last Friday, a prison staff, during a routine inspection of the premises, suspected some contraband to have sneaked inside the barracks following which a surprise check was conducted after alerting senior officials.
To their horror, the prison staff spotted a mobile phone, electric wires, steel pins and a circuit board along with an adhesive packet stuffed inside a pickle jar neatly hidden between two water drums in a toilet in one of the barracks. The inmates, when questioned, said they were unaware of the same, said the police officials.
The police said they are investigating how these items usually barred inside the barracks, made their way inside following which a case has been registered against unidentified persons.
