HYDERABAD: In what could bring cheer to many people eagerly waiting for their second dose of vaccine, chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday said the vaccination programme will be taken up again from Tuesday.
The CM urged those who have taken the first dose of vaccine and are eligible for the second shot, to go to the government vaccination centres nearby and take the jab. The Telangana government had stopped the vaccination drive a couple of weeks ago following severe shortage of vaccines.
Those intended to take the first vaccine will need to wait for some more time as preference will be given to those awaiting their second shot.
Directing the officials to kick off the second dose vaccination programme from Tuesday, the CM asked finance minister T Harish Rao to prepare fresh guidelines to identify Covid-19 superspreaders and organise special vaccination camps for them.
