Telangana: Body of youth who got washed away at Pocherla waterfalls retrieved | Hyderabad News – Times of India

HYDERABAD: Three days of efforts by expert swimmers yielded result on Tuesday when the body of a 24-year-old youth Gonishetty Harish who got washed away at the Pochera waterfalls in Adilabad was retrieved.
Boath circle inspector Sailu told TOI on Tuesday that as many as 20 expert swimmers were on the job to trace out the body.
“Despite the rain being an impediment, the expert swimmers spared no effort to retrieve the body which was found around 7am nearly 150 meters from where the youth got washed away,” Sailu said.
The body was handed over to the relatives after a post-mortem was conducted at the site itself. In a gush of water, Harish got washed away when he was out with his three friends on a picnic at the waterfalls on July 18.
When one of his friends, Ramesh, who was along with him was also getting washed away, Harish reportedly tried to save him but in the process, he got washed away.
