Tamil Nadu to conduct refresher courses for children | Chennai News – Times of India


CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu government will conduct refresher courses to children to make up for learning losses during the pandemic period.
Addressing the state legislative assembly, governor Banwarilal Purohit said a mission mode project that would ensure continuity of education delivery would be implemented and ICT would be leveraged.
“The government will make all out efforts to ensure Tamil Nadu reaches the top rank in the Performance Grading Index (PGI) brought out by the ministry of education, government of India by focusing on the domain of learning outcomes and quality, where the state’s ranking was pulled down in 2019-20,” Purohit said.
He further said consistent efforts would be made to make education for children universal and inclusive. Utmost priority would be given to providing quality education to all children studying in government schools, he added.
The governor further said Anna Centenary Library would be renovated and revitalised.
