Ramvir Singh Bidhuri seeks amendment in Delhi’s Master Plan 2041 | Delhi News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Leader of opposition in Delhi assembly Ramvir Singh Bidhuri has demanded amendment in the Master Plan 2041 to include 150 colonies from O-Zone to F-Zone.
In a meeting with Delhi Development Authority vice chairman Anurag Jain on Tuesday, Bidhuri demanded that these colonies should be shifted from O Zone and should be included in the F Zone so that people living in the 150 colonies could get ownership rights in the long run.
“After inclusion in the F Zone these colonies will also get all the civic amenities and a layout plan can only be formulated for these colonies after they are removed from O Zone which will ensure passing of housing plans,” Biduri said in a statement. He added that this will check unauthorized construction and address the issue of corruption.
The BJP leader also demanded that an in-situ rehabilitation scheme should also be put in place on a fast-track basis and the hawkers should also be provided suitable land for their rehabilitation.
Bidhuri demanded that 2020 should be fixed as the deadline for regularization of ‘Lal Dora’ and till that period all constructions should be regularized. “DDA should not build shopping malls, cut individual plots out of such land and rather it should be used for the larger interest of the masses,” Bidhuri demanded.
