Ramesh Jarkiholi sex CD case: SIT submits reports before Karnataka high court | Bengaluru News – Times of India

BENGALURU: The special investigation team (SIT) investigating the sex CD case involving former minister Ramesh Jarkiholi, on Monday submitted the detailed reports before the Karnataka high court.
A division bench headed by Chief Justice Abhay Shreeniwas Oka is scheduled to take up the matter on Tuesday afternoon for a hearing.
On Friday, the bench had indicated that the court will go into the formation of the SIT based on the home minister’s letter only after going through the investigation report.
Incidentally, in one of the petitions, the complainant had sought for transferring of the investigation to some other agency, contending that she does not expect any fairness and independence in the investigation being carried out by the SIT as the same was constituted based on a letter addressed to the home minister.
She added that all efforts were being made to show her in poor light and protect the accused.
She further claimed that political interference is glaring and the access of the accused to the home minister and to the central government by way of Union minister Prahlad Joshi was out in the public domain and the entire investigation was being handheld and controlled by the political bosses.
Another petition wherein the complainant had sought for quashing of the complaint lodged before the Sadashivanagar police station by one MV Nagaraju (on behalf of Jarkiholi) is also clubbed along with the public interest litigation (PIL)s filed on the issue.
