Rajenthra Bhalaji is not joining BJP, EPS says | Chennai News – Times of India

SALEM: AIADMK joint coordinator Edappadi K Palaniswami on Monday denied reports that party leader and former minister Rajenthra Bhalaji is joining the BJP.
Reports said Bhalaji was going to join the BJP in New Delhi in the presence of party president J P Nadda. Palaniswami told journalists in Salem that “it’s 100% fake information.”
The former chief minister said media in Tamil Nadu was biased and not following ethics. He appealed to media people to act neutrally instead of showing partiality.
Asked about the white paper on state’s finances being released by minister P T R Palanivel Thiagarajan in Chennai on Monday, EPS said, “In 2011, the DMK left the state in a debt of Rs 1.14 lakh crore.” He said more than 50% of the loans borrowed during the AIADMK regime was used as investments. “The DMK government too had borrowed loans in the same manner,” he said.
Palanswami stated that the AIADMK government had not raised electricity rates due to which TNEB was facing revenue loss.
He said the DMK government was inaugurating schemes and projects that were started during AIADMK period.
Pointing out DMK’s poll assurances like cancellation of NEET, Palaniswami alleged that the ruling party had not fulfilled any of its poll promises even after 100 days in office.
