Physical classes resume for students of Std 6-8 across Mysuru | Mysuru News – Times of India

MYSURU: The physical classes for the students between Classe VI and VIII started across the Mysuru district today.
Physical classes for students between Class IX and II PUC were started on August 23.
There is no cluster outbreak reported since the high school and PU college reopening from any part of the district.
These students are returning to schools after a gap of nearly five and half months.
Earlier, the DPI re-started classes for these students on February 21, 2021.
However, following the outbreak of the second wave, physical classes were suspended.
As per the SOP issued by the Department of Public Instruction (DPI), the classes will be conducted on alternate days for the students. There will not be mid-day meals. Classes will be conducted only between Monday to Friday.
Attendance is not compulsory for the students.
Consent of parents has been made compulsory.
In many schools, the teachers welcomed the students with sweets.
Local grama panchayat members were also participated in the welcome programme.
