Mysuru: Jewellery customer shot dead at point-blank range by armed gang | Mysuru News – Times of India


MYSURU: A young customer of a jewellery shop in south Mysuru was shot dead at point-blank range by an armed gang that tried to rob the shop late on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Chandru, who was in his mid-20s, and resident of Mysuru taluk, according to police sources.
A gang of three-four armed robbers entered Amruth Gold and Silver Palace in Vidyaranyapuram around 6 pm and tried to loot the shop. They threatened the shop owner with guns and also opened fire at him.
Chandru, who had gone to the shop, was shot dead by the gang before they fled the spot.
An officer said the gang was conversing in Urdu during their halt at the jewellery shop. Senior police officers have rushed to the spot.
