Mumbai: Doorstep vaccination at Mulund housing society | Mumbai News – Times of India

MUMBAI: Doorstep vaccination was carried out at Mulund’s Golden Willow society on Saturday.
The vaccination was carried out by Fortis Hospital and around 200 residents were vaccinated in the society becoming the second housing society in Mumbai to have doorstep vaccination.
On Friday Goregaon’s Gokuldham Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Officers Quarters became the first housing society in Mumbai to have doorstep vaccination after tying up with a Private Covid Vaccination Center (PCVC). Around 400 residents were vaccinated with Covaxin through doctors and staff from Fortis Hospital.
“We had demanded the BMC for a doorstep vaccination campaign. Following our demand, a policy of doorstep vaccination was formulated and now doorstep vaccination has started for Mumbaikars. It started on Saturday for people from clusters to people from housing societies. We thank Municipal Commissioner Iqbal Chahal for continuous cooperation and Fortis Hospital for extending support. Door step vaccination will not only benefit Mumbaikars with a hassle free vaccination but will also reduce the load on city vaccination centres,” BJP MP Manoj Kotak who initiated the door step vaccination posted on Facebook.
