Mumbai Covid Cases: Mumbai reports 404 new Covid-19 cases, six deaths | Navi Mumbai News – Times of India

MUMBAI: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) informed that Mumbai city reported 404 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday. The total number of positive cases reached 7,35,165.
As many as 382 patients were discharged from hospitals post-recovery today. The total number of positive patients recovered and discharged stands at 7,11,697 so far.
At present, there are 5,280 active patients in the Maximum City.
Unfortunately, six patients above the age of 60 succumbed to the deadly virus on Wednesday. Five of the deceased had co-morbidities. The total death toll reached 15,795.
On Wednesday, the BMC conducted 32,382 Covid-19 tests. Till date, 80,50,759 tests have been conducted by the civic body.
The recovery rate in Mumbai is 97 per cent. The doubling rate is 1,383 days.
Meanwhile, the BMC has declared six areas as ‘Active Containment Zones’. It has also sealed off 59 buildings to contain the spread of the virus.
