Motorcycle rider dies after being hit by flying peacock in Karnataka’s Udupi | Bengaluru News – Times of India


MANGALURU: In a freak accident, a 24-year-old motorcycle rider died after he lost control of the two-wheeler and fell on the road when a flying peacock hit him at Ermal in Udupi district on Tuesday, police sources said.
The deceased, identified as Abdullah, a resident of Belapu village, was proceeding from Belapu to Padubidri when the peacock hit him.
The bird was flying to cross the road on NH 66.
Police said he lost control of the vehicle and fell on the road. Though he was immediately rushed to the hospital, his life could not be saved, sources said.
A case has been registered at the Padubidri police station.
