Last week, we conducted more than 5,000 tests. There were no cases on many days. Our daily testing is around 1,200,” explained the taluk health officer.
HD Kote taluk health officer Dr Ravi Kumar T said that people’s movements had decreased because of rains and this had resulted in fewer infections. “On average, we conduct 1,200 tests per day,” he said.
Mysuru district deputy commissioner Bagadi Gautham said that testing had been stepped up in HD Kote. Chamarajanagar deputy commissioner MR Ravi said that increased surveillance activities had helped contain cases in Yelandur. The Covid situation has also improved in some other taluks.
