‘Four elevated corridors to be constructed to ease traffic congestion in Telangana towns’ | Hyderabad News – Times of India

HYDERABAD: The state government has decided to construct at least four elevated corridors which would fly over-high vehicular traffic density junctions of Suchitra circle, Medchal town among others places.
The estimated cost of the project is over Rs 1250 crore including the land acquisition. The project includes construction of elevated corridors at Suchitra junction, Dairy Farm junction, Dulapally junction and Medchal town.
Of the four elevated corridors, three would be constructed between Suchitra Circle to Gundlapochampalli. Also, four under passes, laying of service roads and expansion of junctions would be taken up. A flyover would also be constructed in Medchal town.
Roads and Buildings minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy said the R&B wing in coordination with National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will take up these vehicular traffic congestion-easing infrastructure projects soon.
The minister said that these and traffic and transport infrastructure development projects would be taken up in the limits of Quthbullapur Assembly constituency in Greater Hyderabad, and in the towns of Nizamabad, Adilabad, Medak and Karimnagar too.
“As per the directions of chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, the detailed project reports have been prepared. A 17-km service road would also be laid between Gundlapochampalli and Kallakal junction,” Prashant Reddy said.
