Covid-19 in Tamil Nadu: Transport dept employees contribute Rs 14.46 crore to CM Public Relief Fund | Chennai News – Times of India


CHENNAI: Nearly 1.20 lakh employees of Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation and other wings of the transport department have donated their one-day salary to the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund to help its fight against Covid-19.
They donated a total of Rs 14.46 crore to the relief fund
On behalf of the employees, transport minister R S Raja Kannappan handed over the cheque to chief minister M K Stalin at the secretariat on Monday.
Members of the Tamil Nadu Village Revenue Assistants (Employees) Association have also contributed their one-day salary of Rs 1.05 crore towards the CMPRF. Minister for revenue and disaster management K K S S R Ramachandran handed over the cheque on behalf of them.
